BLOG - TUMBLR - TWITTER - COMMISSIONSThis took a long time but I felt like I needed to sink the time into a full-on airbrushing piece again.
I was originally going for a generic pin-up and I had some decent poses but I didn't feel they were interesting enough, certainly nothing worth sinking the time into. So I went back and started re-thinking about what I like and I want wanted to do and I thought, well, I like space and I like to draw women in skimpy outfits so bikini space girl sounded about right. Then I started thinking about what she would be doing in space and the rest just snowballed from there.
I've really been trying to work on my color lately and I've learned some new tricks but I wanted to think about color here from the start. Needless to say, I failed and I worked in grayscale and added the color later. It's a joy to work tonally but I feel like my hands are really tied when I get to the coloring stage and I think it shows a bit.
